Sea all people reached
Want to be a Captain of a YWAM vessel or superyacht? Love the sea? Have a passion for reaching all nations? The Marine Navigation Foundations (MNF) course gives you the tools and foundations needed to get in that Captain's chair and take the gospel to all nations.
Why the MNF course?
The Marine Navigation Foundations Course pairs the Royal Yachting Association’s Day Skipper curriculum with further discipleship through the UofN, for those who desire to progress to a ships officer. This is one of the few RYA programs on earth that is offered in a christian community that includes discipleship and missional vision building along with navigational training. Training is offered, not only with UofN standards, but with the standards set by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), International Shipping Federation (ISF), and international Standards for Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Convention.
The Royal Yacht Association, over many years, has developed a teaching syllabus that is very accessible for the inexperienced sailor to grow into a competent Yacht Master step by step. Using this approved syllabus, in combination with International Shipping Federation’s training, within a UofN programme, allows our trainees to gain qualifications and experience quickly.

The Next step
The journey of discipleship with YWAM starts with the Discipleship Training School (DTS). The aim of the DTS is to better discover God's call and meaning on your life. It opens the door to further training through the University of the Nations and in ministry partnered with YWAM. The opportunities, both in YWAM and beyond, are endless! Once you have completed your DTS, prayerfully consider returning to further your experience, sea-time, training and qualifications by joining Crew. You will be amazed at where God can take you, and we’d love to help you get there!
